Monday 8th - Thursday 11th March 2010

Focus Activities
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
My Family Pictures    The children will be encouraged to talk about their families. They will
                                       then either paint, draw or stick people shapes onto shaped card which
                                       will represent their home. Pets will be included.

Physical Activity         The children will use resources to design and build a circuit in the outdoor Circuit                           area. They will be encouraged to use the whole space and move in
                                       different ways – under, over, through, around, etc.
Wednesday
Listening Game           The children will play a listening game. They will listen to CD with 
                                       different sounds and decide what the sound is.

Planned Free Choice Activities
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday
Role Play Area – Set up as a garage with tool sets, dressing up clothes, etc, Red Table – Play dough, scissors and straws, Carpet Area – Maths Eggs, Blue Table – Pens, pencils and paper and Children’s Choice for the Sand Tray.

Wednesday
(changes from other sessions)
Blue Table – Note pads and pens (to encourage emergent writing).
Story Time – The Rainbow Fish Story Sack.

*All Sessions - the children will also have free access to all of the areas and resources available during their free choice play.

Display Table - Maths Focus. The children will be encouraged to explore and use the resources from the displays.

Outdoor Play
Number hopscotch, Clipboards and pens, Scooters, Large building blocks and our Physical Activity Circuit linked to the Focus activity.
